They are seeking a Program Manager intern responsible for managing proposals, enforcing work standards, and overseeing contractor schedules while gaining valuable experience during their military transition.

Responsibilities

Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates

Manage the development and preparation of proposals for programs and serve as the primary contact to respond

Determine the necessary schedules for proposal submittal, proposal preparation, pricing, and review the proposal for responsiveness to the program's requirements

Establishes budgets, forecasts, manpower, equipment, and supply needs for assigned area of responsibility

Designs, conducts and/or facilitates the preparation of the efficient and effective program metrics, other reports, and briefings as required

Required

Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember

Must be separating from the Military within 180 days

Will receive an honorable discharge

Must be able to complete 40 hours per week

Willingness to learn from others on the job

Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support for which the individual is supporting plus 20 years of experience. Or Master's degree and 18 years of experience. Or Doctorate and 16 years of experience

Strong leadership and supervisory skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Demonstrated ability to develop and prepare program proposals

Proficiency in establishing budgets, forecasts, and resource needs

Experience in designing and conducting program metrics, reports, and briefings

DoD planner with greater than 5 years of experience in cross functional team leadership at the operational and/or strategic level

DoD trainer with greater than 5 years of experience ranging from the tactical unit to service level
