The Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer will deploy Marqo into customer environments, owning technical outcomes from architecture conversations to production rollout, and ensuring deployments are tied to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead complex implementations from discovery to production success

Translate customer needs into clear technical plans and milestones

Drive projects forward under ambiguity

Ensure deployments are measurable, reliable, and tied to business outcomes (conversion, revenue lift, customer satisfaction)

Advise customers on embeddings, retrieval, ranking, evaluation, and current state-of-the-art retrieval methodology

Help customers design relevance strategies and iterative improvement loops

Support experimentation and rollout design (A/B tests, offline evaluation, metric selection)

Lead technical calls and workshops with confidence and clarity

Explain tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Steer customers away from bad ideas with empathy and strong rationale

Become a trusted technical partner who can drive decisions

Capture recurring pain points and feature gaps from the field

Turn customer insights into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams

Help shape Marqo’s deployment playbooks and solution patterns
