Responsibilities
Process weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 4,000+ employees
Complete daily manual payroll calculations with precision
Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, deductions, and garnishments
Issue payroll adjustments for retro pay, corrections, and prior errors
Research and resolve tax notices and discrepancies from federal, state, and local agencies
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee payroll questions
Generate and submit payroll reports for internal partners
Manage garnishments including IRS levies, child support, student loans, bankruptcies, and creditor orders
Maintain payroll documentation, filing, incoming mail, and shared payroll inboxes
Qualification
Required
4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including payroll tax compliance
Strong working knowledge of tax notices, returns, reconciliation, and tax accounting
Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Paychex, or similar
Advanced comfort with Excel and spreadsheets
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Absolute discretion when handling sensitive financial and employee data
