This role involves executing model validation activities and ensuring compliance with the bank's model risk management framework. The consultant will collaborate with model developers and business units to minimize model risk.

Executing best-in-class model validation activities
Ensuring models are conceptually sound relative to their intended use
Ensuring models are performing as expected
Ensuring compliance with bank-wide model risk management framework including its policies and procedures
Working closely with model developers, owners, and business units to ensure effective governance
Minimizing model risk
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in model risk management, model validation, or a related field
Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and methodologies
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field
Experience with regulatory requirements related to model risk management
Familiarity with machine learning techniques
Experience in the banking or financial services industry
