Mechanical Engineering Co-Op- UCCS
Samtec Inc is a global manufacturer of electronic interconnect solutions, and they are seeking an Engineering Co-op at their Colorado Springs location. The co-op will work in the Engineering Support Group, conducting failure analysis on microelectronics products and maintaining measurement equipment while developing skills in statistical data analysis and failure root cause analysis.

Conducting failure analysis on various microelectronics products
Destructive and non-destructive characterization on products throughout the development cycle
Maintaining measurement equipment and programs
Qualification
Required
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion for developing new expertise and quick to pick up required skills
Ability to understand product drawings and 3D models
Basic understanding of statistics
Strong analytical thinking skills and spatial understanding
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Demonstration of flexibility, innovation, customer service, and ability to create win/win solutions
Preferred
Student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours while maintaining a full-time course load
You must be available to commit to a minimum of 3 semesters
Co-ops are required to maintain a C grade or above in all courses to maintain status in the program
Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S
