Roadway Project Engineer
TYPSA is a multi-discipline engineering and environmental consulting firm based in the United States, seeking Roadway Project Engineers for their Phoenix office. The role involves leading roadway design activities for various state and municipal projects, managing budgets, and ensuring client deliverables are met.

Responsibilities
Apply civil engineering principles to work assignments
Proficiently design a variety of civil engineering projects utilizing computer-aided design and drafting software
Have an understanding of what is required to produce engineering plans, specifications, and reports
Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and project plans
Ability to coordinate with staff including project managers, other project engineers, engineers-in-training, and designers
Ensuring the completion of work on budgets and within project schedules
Collect, analyze, and summarize project data
Prepare findings and make recommendations based on analytical data
Perform effective technical writing and correspondence
Report findings using a variety of media including maps, graphics, charts, tables, presentations, and written reports
Proficiently perform computerized design, word processing, and writing/editing
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and use good judgment in prioritizing work assignments
Attend or conduct various meetings as needed
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients
Prepare technical write-ups for proposals
Assist with business development and marketing efforts on project pursuits
Qualification
Required
Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of design experience for AZ role
P.E, Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Proficiency with Bentley and/or AutoDesk products, including ProjectWise, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD
Experience with InRoads/OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D experience is required
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem-solving; and decision-making
Experience roadway design guidelines and codes
Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
Preferred
Experience with Primavera and Microsoft Project is a plus
Experience with design calculations, preparation of quantities and cost estimates, preparation of special provisions, and preparation of project plans is desired
