Responsibilities

Perform established preventative maintenance programs
Assist with all aspects of new equipment installation
Assist management with scheduling fleet maintenance projects
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and machine manuals, electrical blueprints/schematics
Ensure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements
Follow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standards
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs
Reads work order and observes and listens to truck in operation to determine malfunction/diagnose the problem(s). Record all work in FIIX CMMS
Makes mechanical repairs to equipment after a complete inspection and analysis of breakdown has been completed. Maintain accurate and complete departmental records
Records complete repair description on work order, including the correct model and the serial number of equipment and record hour meter reading
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and adjust
Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications
Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to mechanical assemblies
Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
Remove and replace work or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system
Realign and adjust components such as spindles, clutches, ball screws, and others as required
Start machines and equipment to test operation following inspection
Provide written reports of inspection findings and recommendations for repair
Ability to trouble-shoot and repair maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diesel-powered heavy equipment
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence. Responds to calls from production and management to make repairs on assets
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Works under direct supervision and follows written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks
Independently perform assignments after given general instructions as to results expected
Resolves routine questions and problems, coordinate complex issues to others
Demonstrates an awareness of the relative urgency of tasks and responds accordingly

Required

7-10+ years of related mechanical experience and or/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
Ability to trouble-shoot and repair maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diesel-powered heavy equipment
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, ability to read and understand electrical schematics, good written/verbal communication skills, and good customer care skills
Safe work habits, following proper LOTO and other OSHA requirements
Ability to diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic issues and complete repairs
Ability to install, assemble and test new machines and equipment
Strong mechanical and Industrial experience
Ability to monitor, identify, and correct signs of malfunctions
Ability to read electrical schematics
Able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures
Able to PM equipment in assigned area
Able to Assist and guide LOTO procedures
Able to identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions
Maintain company maintenance tools, including 480 volt and 3 phase electric voltmeter, and able to use
Able to effectively and efficiently use various maintenance tools and equipment
Ability to work with electrical circuits including 24-volt controls, 120-240 volt, single and three phase service
Capable of using programmable logic controllers to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Must be able to read and understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English
Basic ability to use Windows based computer systems
Able to use a variety of hand and power tools
Read and comply with work orders
Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, diagnose, troubleshooting, repair and test equipment
Able to troubleshoot, find and correct issues
Knowledgeable in 6S standards
Able to manage priorities and meet short- and long-term deadlines
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to understand technical documents including electrical diagrams
Read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics (know symbols)
Able to mentor and train Technicians 1 and 2
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to understand relay logic
Ability to Perform major electrical repairs
Able to select replacement parts for obsolete components
Able to perform PM's on all equipment
Participate in regular 6s activities
Able and willing to correct PPE violations when seen and report continued violations to leads

Preferred

Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatory
Technical degree, previous battery and charger repair experience, welding skills, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred
