Legal Analyst, Compliance

Responsibilities
Functions as central point of contact/project manager in supporting filings where Company is the directly regulated entity, and in support of customers with lines of business requiring their own regulatory filings
Works across numerous departments and teams to ensure filings are progressing in timely manner, are free of errors or omissions, and to answer questions from customers and/or regulators
Acts as liaison between attorneys and other internal departments, customers, and regulators with respect to required filings
Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Company-wide compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Identification of potential compliance risks, assessing their impact, and developing strategies to mitigate those risks
Assists with review, updating, and tracking Company policies and procedures related to compliance, ensuring they are effectively communicated and enforced throughout the Company
Conducts research, assists in preparation of compliance and risk education training, and prepares materials to effectively communicate compliance requirements, ethical standards, and Company policies to employees throughout the organization
Assists in promoting a culture of ethics and integrity within the Company and ensures that employees understand and adhere to the Company's code of conduct
Handles the most complex or sensitive issues facing the Company effectively and efficiently. Collaborates with resources such as counsel, paralegals, both inside the Company and outside counsel, administrative support personnel, personnel from other departments, as assigned/indicated
Assists in development and preparation of compliance work plan and assessment and prepares compliance executive summaries for management review
Assists in preparing reports and presentations, compiling meaningful data for management and executives on compliance matters, findings, and recommendations
Maintains, updates, and documents compliance records to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations
Works with various teams across the Company to implement compliance measures. Collaborates, coordinates, and communicates effectively across all disciplines and departments
Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and strives to continuously improve service delivery
Manages multiple priorities, customer expectations and relationships with all stakeholders. Manages relationships with customers, project managers, and any/all levels of management
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations relating to securities, healthcare, data privacy and security, including HIPAA, and government programs
Demonstrates commitment to the Company’s core values
Qualification
Required
Minimum Bachelor's degree
Minimum two (2) years' experience in legal/compliance industry
Knowledge and experience of compliance best practices
Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
Expert-level business and system analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and find solutions
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing regulations and business needs in a fast-paced environment
Analytic, organization, interpersonal, prioritization, multi-tasking, initiating, communication, planning and technical skills
Ability to take initiative and suggest solutions for areas of opportunity
Ability to use software and peripherals related to performance of job responsibilities
Ability to facilitate teams and customer relationships to satisfy needs and identify improvements
Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management
Ability to demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service and follow through
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects including continuous evaluation and re-ordering of priorities for self and staff as business needs dictate
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers
Ability to be flexible and creative in problem solving and identifying process improvements
Ability to anticipate business needs and think with a business owner mind-set
