Systems Engineer
MGM Healthcare provides rehabilitation and skilled nursing services across multiple states. The Systems Engineer will support the organization’s hybrid IT infrastructure, ensuring stable and reliable operations while managing both on-premise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities
Support daily operations of on-premise and cloud infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Support and administer Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
Manage and support PBX/VoIP telephony systems, including moves, adds, changes, troubleshooting, and coordination with telecom vendors and carriers
Oversee daily backup operations, verify data integrity, and participate in periodic disaster recovery testing for on-premise and cloud workloads
Collaborate with IT leadership and technical staff to identify system needs and assist with resolving escalated technical issues related to servers, networking, identity management, and infrastructure performance
Research and evaluate hardware, software, and cloud solutions to support planning, purchasing decisions, and future migration strategies
Assist in designing, configuring, and implementing new systems or upgrades to existing infrastructure while minimizing downtime and operational impact
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for IT services, equipment procurement, ISP management, and infrastructure troubleshooting
Provide proactive maintenance, monitoring, and operational support using appropriate tools and best practices
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Equivalent experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
Valid driver's license required
2-4 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or IT operations
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory
Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
Experience managing Backup and Disaster Recovery (BUDR) solutions (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Azure Backup)
Experience supporting PBX or VoIP telephony systems
Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networking, telephony, and access/security systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Azure environments
Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and administrative tasks
Foundational networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Experience configuring and supporting network infrastructure, including switches and firewalls
Preferred
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Experience supporting mobile and cellular devices preferred
Familiarity with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
Experience using source control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Basic understanding of container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
