This role is responsible for processing returned, damaged, or defective merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities
Review, document and process damaged or defective merchandise and returns
Accurately enter claims information into the system and maintain proper records
Prepare merchandise for return to suppliers or proper disposal
Communicate with Vendors, Suppliers and Management to resolve discrepancies
Follow company guidelines on handling hazardous materials and high-value items
Maintain a clean , safe and organized work area in the claims department
Ensure all claims are processed in a timerly manner to minimize shrink and maximize recovery
Assist in inventory control by monitoring and reporting unusual pattern or issues
Support other backroom or operational tasks as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Basic computer and inventory management skills
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
