Responsibilities
Perform civil design and drafting tasks in support of land development, civil engineering, and environmental projects
Develop accurate, high-quality design deliverables in an efficient and organized manner
Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including plan/profile sheets and construction documents
Develop 3D surfaces, alignments, corridors, and cut/fill quantities
Apply standard drafting practices, design criteria, and project specifications
Coordinate with engineers, survey teams, and environmental staff to support project goals
Maintain a strong client service attitude and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Support ongoing learning of new tools, technologies, and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Approximately 5-10 years of site/civil design experience
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience with land development design, including grading, roadway layouts, and utility plans
Experience developing surfaces, alignments, profiles, and quantities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization, planning, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting, design, civil engineering technology, or related field preferred but not required
GIS experience preferred
Exposure to environmental, mining, energy, or oil and gas projects is a plus
Survey or field experience is a plus, including importing survey data and preparing base mapping
