Responsibilities

Understanding customer requirements

Designing controls systems

Writing software (PLC, PC, HMI, Robot, Vision, etc.)

Powering up and commissioning machines

Checking out software and machine processes

Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing

Provide some mentorship to junior engineers

Drive individual tasks to completion, with increasing independence on projects over time

Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations (typically no more 10%, but on rare occasions may fluctuate up to 25% depending on business needs)

Experience in AutoCAD Electrical is a plus

Required

3+ years of controls engineering experience

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Ability to support a variety of project tasks including but not limited to: Understanding customer requirements, Designing controls systems, Writing software (PLC, PC, HMI, Robot, Vision, etc.), Powering up and commissioning machines, Checking out software and machine processes, Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing

Proficient experience in the application of PLC/PC programming, motion control, robotics, and vision for automation

Ability to provide some mentorship to junior engineers

Demonstrated to drive individual tasks to completion, with increasing independence on projects over time

Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations (typically no more 10%, but on rare occasions may fluctuate up to 25% depending on business needs)
