The role involves designing and implementing solutions for the Structured Products technology platform, focusing on backend Python software and collaboration with Front Office stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Work directly with Front Office stakeholders and senior IT management to design and implement solutions that enhance and expand the Structured Products technology platform, with a primary focus on the US regional business
Design and implement backend Python software solutions within the SP pre-trade domain
Collaborate on React UI app, ensuring clean API contracts and integration with backend services
Define, evolve, and maintain structured products data models defined as JSON schemas
Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for a globally distributed FO platform
Play an active role in defining and evolving development best practices in the team
Collaborate with sales and structuring to ensure alignment with business requirements
Identify and mitigate architectural, design and implementation risks, for the platform buildout
Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
Provide production support for critical FO systems, including issue diagnosis and remediation
Qualification
Required
Strong professional experience with Python or another OO language (typically 8+ years)
Design and implementation JSON RESTful APIs, including versioning and backward compatibility
Strong understanding and exposure to object-oriented practices and principles
Hands on experience with automated testing, mocking frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience delivering business-critical applications in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Preferred
Familiarity with financial services, particularly structured notes and equity derivatives
Knowledge of front-office sales and trading workflows
Familiarity with messaging or event-driven systems
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives
Linux command line experience
