Lean Manufacturing Intern
Stuller is the jewelry industry's largest manufacturer, supplier, and technology developer in North America. As a Lean Manufacturing Intern, you will analyze data, map workflows, and collaborate on lean manufacturing initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and foster continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, using statistical tools to interpret data and provide actionable insights
Create detailed process maps to document current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and highlight inefficiencies in existing processes
Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager to propose and develop plans for process enhancements, including the design and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques
Participate in the execution of process improvement initiatives, monitor their progress, and report on outcomes
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Maintain thorough documentation of processes, improvements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring all changes are accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for process changes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This role requires candidates to have work authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future
Preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with process improvement tools and methodologies
Experience with process mapping and statistical analysis
Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and techniques to drive continuous improvement
