Responsibilities
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites for the Gas Chromatography (GC) or Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) systems
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
Performs maintenance and repairs
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software
May train other field engineers and customers in the solutions
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's or master's degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar), or relevant work experience
4+ years of experience in a similar position or as an end-user
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
Experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) or Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) systems, either as an end-user or in field service
Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 30% is required
A valid driver's license is required
Preferred
Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential
