Responsibilities
Works closely with the Public Works Director to shape the Division priorities, guide strategic planning and advance major initiatives
Oversees the City’s Engineering Services Division, including development engineering oversight, capital project planning, civil engineering design, construction management and inspection for streets, utilities, transportation systems and public facilities
Assists in developing and implementing department goals, objectives, policies and procedures
Manages and mentors engineering, professional, technical and administrative staff, sets work priorities, monitors work flow and reviews and evaluates work products, methods and procedures
Serves as the City Engineer
Qualification
Required
Management and oversight of programs, activities, and operations within the Engineering Services Division of the Public Works Department
Experience in development engineering oversight, capital project planning, civil engineering design, construction management, and inspection for streets, utilities, transportation systems, and public facilities
Ability to develop and implement department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Experience in managing and mentoring engineering, professional, technical, and administrative staff
Ability to set work priorities, monitor workflow, and review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures
Serves as the City Engineer
