Spectrum Software Consultant
Business Information Group, Inc. is seeking a Spectrum Software Consultant responsible for leading software consulting engagements and ensuring successful implementation and support of the Spectrum platform for clients. The role involves onboarding new clients, configuring systems, and providing ongoing support, while acting as a key liaison to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
Responsibilities
Analyze client business requirements and objectives to design tailored implementation strategies that align with their operational goals
Estimate project timelines, resource needs, and deliverables to create comprehensive, realistic project plans that account for all key variables
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation throughout the lifecycle of each engagement
Deliver expert consulting services, including business process reviews, strategic planning sessions, system setup, testing, readiness assessments, data imports/conversions, and custom reporting solutions
Develop and maintain deep expertise in the Viewpoint Vista software platform, conducting thorough due diligence to align client needs with system capabilities
Engage with clients at all organizational levels and technical backgrounds, ensuring clear communication, guidance, and support throughout the project
Provide mentorship and support to junior consultants, sharing knowledge and best practices to strengthen the team
Perform additional responsibilities and contribute to internal initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, purchase orders, and general ledger
Familiarity with construction project management processes, such as project setup from estimates, project buyouts, document management, change orders, job costing, and billing
3–5 years of experience in software consulting
Hands-on experience with Spectrum is strongly required
Proven experience in client relationship management and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience collaborating with application developers and technical teams
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites within the United States as needed
Preferred
Business Management or Accounting degree preferred
Experience in software consulting preferably within the construction or ERP space
Experience with comparable ERP systems such as Sage or CMiC will be considered
