Engineer Senior Principal – Program Chief Engineer

Responsibilities
Guide completion of major projects to design, development, testing, manufacturing
Uncover and resolve issues
Represent the project with customers and management
Provide technical leadership for team
Contribute to staffing and resource planning
Consult with colleagues to develop technical strategies connecting several projects and customers
Act as advisor on major projects or technical areas - to both customers and organization
Work with hardware developers to optimized system performance
Execute testing campaigns to validate results
Guide develop system performance models
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
A current, active Secret security clearance is required
Demonstrated Knowledge of and Experience with one or more of: Clock distribution (e.g. StaLO, PLL, disciplined, tuning derived oscillators), High power RF systems (e.g. signal purity, heat dissipation needs), Radar skills (e.g. ESM, EW, Side-lobe blanking, Conventional and advanced beam forming), Calibration techniques (e.g. phase, amplitude, timing), Operational issues (e.g. noise – sources and mitigations, ADC/DAC - bit depth/ENOB, sample rate, digital and analog electronics), Software/firmware architectures, System development
Ability to write compelling proposals
Design for manufacturing techniques
Technical leaderships – WBS, Lateral management, upward management, teaching
Systems engineering – requirements derivation, management, SRR/PDR/CDR preparations
Preferred
Hands-on experience in RF mission systems, particularly in the context of defense, aerospace, or secure communications environments
Experience with RF mission systems, such as RF radar or electronic warfare platforms
Familiarity with MIL-STD, DO-160, or similar qualification standards
Background in environmental and EMI/EMC testing
Experience in working on defense or aerospace programs
Prepare and present technical test content to an audience during major reviews
Advanced computer application skills, such as Matlab, C, C++, IDL, STK, DOORS, Python, and other analytical tools
