Responsibilities
Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
As an Engineering intern, depending on the plant or location you may take on responsibility for assignments as a Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, or Maintenance & Reliability Engineer
Implement and lead production performance improvement projects, provide support to the engineering department in the various areas (safety/environment, quality, capacity, competitiveness)
Analyze and improve current processes to improve environmental compliance, occupational/process safety and/or plant capacity
Implement and lead maintenance and reliability best practices
Lead and coordinate project work, including supervision of contractors, for plant or location improvements in line with the site
Under the supervision of one or several project leaders, perform basic engineer responsibilities such as drafting, design, project management, plant layouts, research, data collection and documentation
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be a full-time enrolled, current Junior/Senior, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Robotics, Environmental, Industrial) required
Overall GPA>2.7, with GPA in major >3.0
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software
Excited to learn new things and contribute quickly
Timely, positive and professional work habits required
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 out of 12 weeks
