Responsibilities

Creating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers
Performing equipment selections
Conducting load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes
Representing Syska Hennessy Group and working in close contact with and effectively interacting with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants
Coordinating with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team
Conducting field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work
Assisting the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT
Mastering drawing organization format and company standards
Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments
Attending continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
Minimum of 18+ months of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT required
Basic understanding of proper system selection
Basic knowledge of applicable codes
EIT/FE required
Strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings
Basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements
Knowledge of trade specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.)
