Harbor is a leading provider of mental health and substance use treatment, and they are seeking a Payment Poster to join their Toledo team. This role is responsible for managing revenue cycle tasks, ensuring accurate claim submissions, and processing payments efficiently.

Responsibilities

Processes daily mail payments and Explanation of Benefits that accompany payments

Enters payments and zero-payments received and balances input to deposit

Utilizes appropriate software to perform daily tasks including provider portals and vendor portals

Balances monthly payments deposited to payments posted in billing software

Organizes and files both site deposit information as well as revenue cycle payment posting documentation in a timely and efficient manner

Maintains file storage and prepares posting files for storage in a proactive and timely manner

Monitors and maintains aging unposted cash to keep outstanding unposted revenue most current

Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth

Required

Certificate in Medical Billing or an associate degree in business, healthcare, accounting, or closely related field required, or may substitute four years related experience in lieu of degree

Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with various individuals

Competent computer/PC skills using Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and electronic health record systems

Must be able to establish daily work priorities and work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines

Must be honest, dependable, self-disciplined, organized and be able to work well as a team member
