Vice President, Carrier Relations

Responsibilities
Full Ownership of Carrier Strategy: Define, communicate, and execute a multi-year strategic vision for all carrier partnerships to ensure alignment with Jellyvision’s overarching revenue and product goals, covering the full value proposition of ALEX and ALEX Home
Executive Partner Acquisition: Lead the identification, negotiation, and closing of new strategic carrier partnerships at the executive and C-suite level, significantly expanding our channel and market reach
Quota Management: Drive and be accountable for a significant individual and team quota, ensuring carrier-driven sales meet or exceed annual targets
Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Service leadership to integrate carrier feedback, inform the product roadmap, and build joint go-to-market strategies that drive high-volume, profitable business for both ALEX and ALEX Home
Facilitate education: Assist in the training of the sales organization on the carrier landscape and role in their in market execution
Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain deep, trusted relationships with leadership and executive teams at our top-tier carrier partners, positioning Jellyvision and our full product suite as a critical strategic asset
Advanced Partner Process: Define and scale the global Partner Management Process, developing best practices for collaboration, co-marketing, co-selling, and technology adoption across all carrier partners
Problem Solving & Deal Structuring: Oversee and resolve complex business challenges, including high-level partner contracting, pricing negotiations, and commercial terms
Internal Executive Collaboration: Act as the internal champion for the carrier channel, facilitating advanced cross-functional and executive relationship management with Legal, Finance, Revenue Operations, and other departments
Team Development & Mentoring: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Carrier Channel Managers, instilling best practices and ensuring the team has the knowledge and skills needed to secure and grow partnerships effectively
Carrier Market Mastery: Maintain a deep, authoritative understanding of the carrier competitive landscape, market trends, pain points, and emerging opportunities, translating these insights into actionable strategies for Jellyvision
Measurement and Reporting: Oversee the tracking and reporting of all critical KPIs, partnership health, and revenue forecasting to the Jellyvision Executive Leadership Team, leveraging data to drive continuous improvement and strategy pivots
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive experience in benefits, insurance, or related technology sales and partnership management
At least 3-5 years in a leadership or executive-level Carrier Relations role
Existing carrier contacts and relationships
Demonstrated ability to create, communicate, and execute a strategic vision for a high-growth channel from initial concept to full operational scale
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to confidently influence and engage C-level executives internally and externally
A strong history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Successfully expanding carrier partnerships
Managing a pipeline driven by complex, large-scale partnerships
Superior organizational and time management skills to handle operational tasks while maintaining a focus on long-term strategy
A demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively across all divisions, including Product, Marketing, Legal, and Sales
