Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical expert for the architecture, development, and unit testing of REST web services and secure, https-based applications
Engineer high-quality backend and frontend code for web-based applications, ensuring all deliverables comply with defined development standards and comprehensive documentation protocols
Analyze complex business requirements and convert them into elegant code, facilitating a seamless transition from conceptual design to functional implementation
Execute rigorous unit and integration testing to deliver defect-free solutions that align with both industry best practices and specific client mandates
Resolve software defects and technical impediments in a timely, thorough manner, consistently meeting or exceeding established Service Level Agreements
Assess and prioritize emerging issues based on urgency and business impact, escalating critical matters to management with clarity and professionalism when appropriate
Manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, ensuring all project timelines are met with precision and excellence
Participate in cross-training and the sharing of best practices to foster a culture of collective growth and technical superiority
Demonstrate agility by rapidly mastering new applications and technologies as they are integrated into the client ecosystem
Foster mutually beneficial, collaborative relationships with all client stakeholders and internal team members through effective, transparent communication
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer, IT Consultant, or Systems Analyst
Advanced proficiency in Java, Angular 13+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Maven
Expert knowledge of Oracle, GitLab, JBoss, SQL Developer, Toad, JIRA, and Eclipse
Refined verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead technical discussions and client-facing engagements
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Authorized to work in the US for any employer
Local in the Chicagoland area
