Responsibilities

Design vision systems, including specifying cameras, lighting, and lensing requirements

Participate on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluate feasibility of concepts, and provide formal estimates for vision system designs

Integrate machine vision systems into PC- or PLC-based systems

Apply industry standards in artificial intelligence and deep machine learning to solve complex vision inspections

Collect and analyze inspection results to validate the robustness of vision system changes

Complete project deliverables and monitor project schedule and scope to ensure timely delivery

Explain factual information of limited complexity to others in straightforward situations

Organize, present, and explain data and information to internal and external audiences

Certified Vision Professional – Basic

Fluent in programming languages, packages, and concepts, including: C++, C# / .NET, Python, OpenCV, Communication protocols and IP configuration

Fluent in machine vision platforms, including: Cognex ISE, Cognex ISVS, Cognex V-Pro, Cognex Designer, Cognex OneVision, Cognex VIDI, Keyence XG VisionEditor/VisionTerminal, Keyence VS Creator, Keyence IV-Navigator/Smart Navigator
