Responsibilities
Create and refine body and or chassis designs using 3DEXPERIENCE CAD software
Lead the design team by setting project goals and timelines for CAD modeling quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
Provide guidance to junior designers and assist in their professional development
Work closely with design engineers, product development, validation, and production staff to ensure designs are feasible and align with project goals
Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and consumer preferences, integrating findings into design decisions
Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback for improvements
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years in automotive design or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent in relevant experience in automotive design or engineering
All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Strong understanding of automotive design principles
Outstanding attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work alone or on a team in a fast-paced environment
Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Alias, Siemens, Catia)
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Rhino, Blender)
GD&T, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), Lessons Learned Implementation, PLM Processing/Releasing
Preferred
Certifications in CAD software, engineering, or design is preferred but not mandatory
Simulation Experience: CFD, FEA
