Utilizes working knowledge of procedures and theories in all areas of responsibilities

Hires, onboards, and administers disciplinary actions of personnel as needed

Completes schedule and manages timekeeping

Implements policies and procedures as relates to specific area

Oversees training and orientation of personnel

Maintains standards of accreditation for their area

Performs regular discussion on priorities and performance to staff via touch bases, check-ins, etc

Required

MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency (preferably ASCP)

Bachelors, Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Science/Biomedical Science/Biology/Biochemistry from a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program

5 years experience in a laboratory tech setting

Preferred

Previous experience in a leadership position in a laboratory tech environment
