Quality Assurance Engineer
Clinically AI is redefining how Behavioral Health and Long-Term Care organizations work by delivering an intelligence layer that automates documentation and operational workflows. As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and performance of a platform used by thousands of clinicians, designing test plans and building automated regression suites while collaborating closely with engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities
Own quality for features across web apps, browser extensions, APIs, and mobile applications
Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test plans, including functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing
Build and enhance automated regression tests using Playwright—our primary UI automation framework
Validate API functionality, error handling, and data integrity using tools like Postman or similar
Collaborate early with Product & Engineering to define clear acceptance criteria and identify edge cases
Create clear, high-quality bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots/video, logs, and impact assessments
Participate in release validation, smoke testing, and ongoing regression cycles within a CI/CD environment
Use AI-powered tools to accelerate test coverage, identify failure patterns, and streamline manual workflows
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SDLC, release processes, QA documentation, and test automation strategies
Qualification
Required
3+ years of QA experience testing modern SaaS/web applications
Experience writing automated tests using Playwright (or similar frameworks such as Cypress, WebdriverIO, Selenium)
Strong understanding of modern front-end behavior, browser debugging tools, and DOM/network analysis
Hands-on experience validating RESTful APIs, including authentication, roles, permissions, and error cases
Comfort writing automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and integrating automated tests into release workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—able to isolate root causes and communicate findings clearly
Excellent collaboration skills and comfort working closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
High ownership mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred
Experience testing React applications, browser extensions, or real-time web interfaces
Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS/Android) using simulators or physical devices
Experience with performance or load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Locust)
Familiarity with GCP, cloud-based deployments, or distributed systems
Background working in regulated or security-focused environments (HIPAA, SOC2, NIST)
Experience testing AI/LLM-based features or products with non-deterministic behavior
