Responsibilities

Assist in the ongoing management of an established portfolio of multifamily properties, helping to execute business plans and monitor short and long term financial and operational performance
Review monthly financial statements to evaluate actual vs. projected results and partner with property management on annual budget development
Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio reports to keep senior leadership and partners informed of trends, risks, and opportunities
Support asset managers by incorporating market research into benchmark assumptions and forward‑looking property analysis
Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions and deliver recommendations to senior management across 50+ LIHTC multifamily assets with a forecasted 15-year hold period
Analyze cash flow waterfalls, operating performance, market shifts, and underwriting assumptions to develop actionable recommendations for the portfolio
Gather and synthesize insights from internal and external sources, including lenders, appraisers, brokers, and research partners, to support asset managers in executing on business plans, strengthening underwriting benchmarks, and support strategic decisions
Coordinate with property management on preparing annual budgets for properties and reviewing monthly financials to see actual performance versus projected performance
Manage key components of the due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions, including obtaining third‑party reports, reviewing seller documentation, preparing investor memorandums, and supporting financing efforts
Obtain third party reports, review seller provided information, assist in the preparation of investor memorandums, collect necessary information for investors, and assist with obtaining financing

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience in Finance, accounting, underwriting, or asset management roles, dependent upon the department of the position
Strong interpersonal skills

Microsoft Excel modeling experience
Understanding of multifamily real estate underwriting
Understanding of accounting and financial waterfall distribution calculations
