Responsibilities

Offer professional administrative support to leaders, colleagues, and organizational groups by managing tasks independently and prioritizing workload effectively
Demonstrate strong organizational skills; meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated; may supervise or delegate work to other administrative employees or office assistants
Independently schedule meetings and events, book conference rooms, order catering, and coordinate the visitor/guest process
Coordinate end-to-end delivery of department or group events and special projects
Take meeting notes and summarize key information and action items concisely
Display clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; foster open channels of communication to help teams leverage information
Maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information
Act as the primary administrative contact, quickly establishing rapport with managers, clients, and internal/external stakeholders
Provide knowledgeable answers to business function questions and take appropriate actions in the absence of the leader
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to keep work flowing without disruption
Supervise and coach office assistants; support an inclusive and collaborative work environment
Effectively prioritize requests from multiple managers and collaborate to meet organizational goals
Plan and arrange complex domestic and international travel, understand time zone and cultural differences, and prepare detailed itineraries
Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn other internal systems (such as Dow Systems)
Manage, approve, and review TER reporting and expense submissions; ensure compliance with company policies and Dow’s Code of Business Conduct
Advocate for and promote safety behaviors; may serve as team or area safety contact
Maintain and manage documents in libraries for the logistics organization, ensuring document integrity and organization health
