Senior Mission Analyst

Responsibilities

Review relevant Theater Posture Plans (TTP), Theater Campaign Plans (TCP), OPLANs, and CONPLANs for each site being assessed
Review existing Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) data, noting current limitations and reliance on Fleet readiness officers
Review previous mission analysis data and MA assessment report
Analyze the Global Force Management System to understand the framework for command structure and force flow
Collaborate with RMC CIP Analysts for NCCs and Navy Regions to leverage their mission data for each task critical asset (TCA) and associated supporting infrastructure
Conduct mission analysis interviews with mission owners, tenants, installation leadership, and asset owners
Provide input, research, and support focus areas while collaborating with other functional area subject-matter experts before, during, and after assessments
Draft internal and external briefs, reports, and presentations, as assigned, to meet customer and company delivery requirements
Develop written assessment reports detailing in-depth research and analysis
Maintain current knowledge of mission assurance standards, policies, and threat environments
Work independently and in cross-functional team environments effectively
Maintain a Top-Secret SCI security clearance
Complete all security requirements and participate in travel to areas within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) as necessary
Plan and lead meetings and training
Coordinate across departments and teams to ensure transparent communication and effective collaboration toward shared goals
Obtain and maintain active Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) and Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) Network access
Discretion in handling sensitive or classified information

Required

Minimum of seven years of military operations, operational planning, or mission assurance experience, or related functional knowledge and experience within the DoD or other federal agencies
5+ years of experience strategic writing
BA Degree
3+ years CCMD staff, Joint Staff, or Service Staff experience
Development of Concept of Operations and Concept of Employment Briefs
In-depth understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD)
Must have good analytic skills and the ability to apply them in a multi-tasking environment where more than one project may require his/her participation at any given time
Candidates must possess and demonstrate proven communication skills – written and verbal
Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, often with minimal guidance and within rigid timelines
Active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
Experience using risk assessment tools and methodologies
Prior experience conducting risk assessments for DoD or other federal agencies is strongly preferred
Maintain a Top-Secret SCI security clearance
Complete all security requirements and participate in travel to areas within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) as necessary
Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment
U.S. Citizenship
Possession of a valid state driver's license

Preferred

Experience as a Combatant Command or Joint Staff J5 or J3 Contingency or Campaign Planner
Experience in a leadership role, including OPT Lead or Battle Rhythm Event Lead, in Major Staff Exercises
Graduate of an Advanced Warfare Planning School
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering or Modeling and Simulation
Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or comparable Service-level professional development
