Procurement Specialist (Onsite)

Pratt & Whitney is working to transform the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing innovative engines. The Procurement Specialist will focus on procurement activities for Non-Product Procurement, managing vendor relations and ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

Responsible for issuing requests for proposals, source selection, issuing purchase orders and managing vendors for goods and services to support Pratt & Whitney’s needs along with delivery assurance
Work closely with project managers to forecast needs and find supply chain solutions that meet their project schedule and budget requirements
Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Managers to develop & execute strategies to lower costs across all P&W sites globally
Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution
Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs, responds to client issues or problems, authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly
Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices; analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages

Required

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in a business operations, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supply chain or related environment OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in a business operations, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supply chain or related environment
In absence of a degree, 9 or more years in a business operations, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supply chain or related environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience working in an environment with constantly fluctuating priorities

Preferred

A degree in Supply Chain and/or MBA
Supply chain experience in the manufacturing industry
Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
