Hotel Room Inspector/Trainer

They are seeking a Hotel Room Inspector/Trainer responsible for inspecting guest rooms for cleanliness, training housekeeping staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction through hotel sanitation and appearance.

Responsibilities

Inspect each and every cleaned guest room for cleanliness and readiness
Train personnel in housekeeping duties
Perform cleaning duties as needed
Post room occupancy records
Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Reports appropriate guest concerns and/or requests to appropriate departments. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
Perform other tasks to help in all areas of hotel cleanliness including laundry and public area cleaning
Stock linen/supply shelves
Examine carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear
Check and count linens and supplies as needed
Record inspection results and notify cleaning personnel of corrections to be made
Communicate with other hotel departments regarding challenges which need their attention
Ensure key control policies
Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
Inspects the level of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel including storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms and public areas
Occasionally distribute keys and work assignments to staff
Completes follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms
Ensure the completion of the Housekeeper's Report and communicates clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department
Displays a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates
Must work weekends and holidays

Qualification

Housekeeping experienceSupervisory experienceBilingual communicationGuest service skillsCommunication skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience in housekeeping or similar industry, to include supervisory experience
Able to communicate in English

Preferred

Bi-lingual is a plus
