Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers to translate CAD models from a conceptual design phase into production-ready documents
Generate and revise detailed engineering drawings from CAD models in SolidWorks
Apply GD&T principles using ASME Y14.5 standards
Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness and compliance with ASME standards
Prepare and update BOMs with part numbers and required quantities
Utilize PDM to maintain configuration control of models and drawings for development and release

Required

A minimum of 3 years professional experience producing engineering drawings from CAD tools
Associate Degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related technical field

Experience in SolidWorks, Creo, Catia or similar CAD tools
Capability to use project management tools such as Jira, GITlabs, or MS Projects, to track and document assigned tasks

All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance

Preferred

5+ years of experience generating and reviewing engineering drawings for large, complex structures
Existing U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance
Experience working in DOD related industries: Directed Energy, Aerospace, Naval, or Land Systems
Experience coordinating with vendors and/or tooling experts to evaluate manufacturability and tolerancing constraints
