Knife River Corporation is looking for a driven, growth-minded Sales Representative to support their ready-mix concrete and aggregate business in the expanding Boise, ID market. The role involves building strong customer relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project cycle.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, government agencies, and supply houses
Manage inside and outside sales for ready‑mix concrete and aggregates, and assist with asphalt sales as directed
Identify new business opportunities and follow up on project leads
Review plans/specs and collaborate with Quality Control to select proper mix designs
Prepare accurate quotes and bids using company software
Support customers through the full project cycle—from pre‑construction to post‑construction
Monitor product quality and ensure customer satisfaction
Coordinate with internal teams on pricing, scheduling, delivery and billing
Stay current on industry trends, attend educational seminars, and build technical expertise
Travel as needed
Maintain a strong commitment to safety

Required

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years' experience in a sales or business development role
Experience with construction materials—ready‑mix, aggregates, asphalt
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Intermediate computer proficiency

Preferred

Undergraduate degree preferred
Technical sales experience a plus
