Systems Engineer
Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and integration support to the United States Coast Guard for the Maritime Public and Tactical Communications system acquisition. The role focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering and acquisition lifecycle execution, requiring strong experience in developing architecture-compliant engineering artifacts and leading systems engineering activities.

Responsibilities
Provide direct systems engineering support to the USCG Program Manager for the MPTC acquisition
Generate engineering documentation compliant with:
Unified Architectural Framework (UAF)
SPAWARINST 5401.6
Develop artifacts for ingestion into Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
Lead and support systems engineering and integration across the full lifecycle in accordance with the Acquisition Life Cycle (ALF), the Navy Product Lifecycle Management (NPLM), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Directive 102-01 (Systems Engineering Lifecycle - SELC), including:
Interfacing with user groups to determine requirements and needs
Planning, defining, designing, developing, implementing, operating, and disposing of systems
Developing reports, plans, and artifacts supporting SELC stage activities
Developing entrance and exit criteria for SELC stage reviews
Measuring and improving effectiveness/efficiency of systems engineering processes
Integrating technical planning to provide program management with specific guidance and direction on how to execute a requirement-based and structurally managed program
Working with the Program's IPT to develop functional, technical, and performance requirements
Supporting engineering change evaluations and technical reviews
MBSE Responsibilities include:
Working with the Program's Integrated Product Team to develop functional, technical, and performance requirements
Interfacing with MBSE support teams to build, maintain, and update requirements tools
Generate exports and reports from MBSE tools
Assist with requirements decomposition
Manage and Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Support and facilitate requirements-focused IPT meetings
Perform technical reviews of proposed engineering change packages
Provide engineering and integration support for USCG IT systems as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, systems engineer, computer science, or a related discipline
7+ years of professional experience in systems engineering
Demonstrated experience with Federal/DoD acquisition lifecycles
Systems Engineering lifecycle processes (SELC/ALF/NPLM)
Requirements development, decomposition, traceability
MBSE tools/methodology
Generating engineering documentation that complies with architectural and policy frameworks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Prior work with USCG, Navy, or DHS
Experience with UAF-compliant architecture development
Familiarity with SPAWAR/NAVWAR
Experience supporting communications, IT, or mission systems
Experience facilitating IPTs/Technical Review Boards
7+ years of professional experience in systems engineering
