Vice President Finance

Responsibilities
Partner across teams and business units and use analytically driven insights to devise strategic decisions that will meet the company’s goals and deliver strong financial results
Research company results to drive strategic decision-making, ensure financial discipline, and support growth initiatives. This involves analyzing both internal data and external market information to provide actionable insights to the C-suite and the Board of Directors
Maintain a holistic view of the company’s financial performance including profit and loss by business unit and cash forecast; drive a high-performing FP&A organization by serving as a trusted advisor to the CFO, and business unit leaders
Direct accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, billing, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting
Identify key trends by analyzing financial data for patterns (horizontal/vertical analysis, moving averages)
Identify efficiencies by tracking key metrics (ex: Operating Expense Ratio, Cash Conversion Cycle) optimizing cash flow (burn rate) and finding growth opportunities for better strategic decisions
Collaborate with the CFO on financial results and ensures the accuracy and compliance of accruals in financial reporting
Collaborate with the sales team on budgeting, pipeline forecasting, and ensuring sales targets are realistic and profitable
Monitors financial transactions by overseeing accounting, budgeting, and reporting, using data analysis to ensure financial health, manage risk, and translate complex data for executives
Be responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information to appropriate groups, including internal parties, government regulators, and investors
Lead and manage the budgeting process
Compare actual financial results against budgets or forecasts to identify significant variances, and most importantly, determine the underlying business drivers to improve profitability
Supports accounting operations as it relates to month-end closing processes
Presents month-end close presentation to leadership by transforming raw financial data into strategic insights for future decision-making
Support shareholder and lender relationships, including capitalization table management, lender reporting, share valuation, etc
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or similar discipline
Experience with Sage Intacct, Power BI, Concur & ADP
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
5+ years of experience in finance, public accounting, management consulting, or private equity; current or previous roles may include CFO of a small to mid-sized company; VP or Director of Finance; Senior or Manager at a public accounting firm or consulting firm; Senior Associate or Vice President at a private equity firm
Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting, and reporting
Self-driven professional who is capable of critical thinking and independent decision making; team-oriented and solution-oriented, especially in a fast-paced and rapidly developing business environment
