Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the integration of R&D BD activities, ensuring day one operational readiness and seamless systems integration
Streamline and simplify BD integration processes, identify critical pain points, and drive solutions for smoother transitions
Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams to execute integration activities efficiently and ensure business process continuity post-acquisition, including daily financial operations and system workflows
Oversee assimilation of new entities into the AbbVie Operating Model for R&D, including their incorporation into SAP and alignment with business processes
Develop and manage comprehensive workplans, master data assets, personnel and contractor mapping, and SAP roles to facilitate successful integration
Monitor, analyze, and report on integration costs, realized synergies, and key performance metrics
Assist in shaping capital requirements and securing funding to support integration
Deliver regular progress updates and insights to senior leadership
Execute ad hoc projects based on strategic priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree: Finance or Accounting
7-10 years overall business experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop clear conclusions and recommendations regarding business opportunities and challenges
Demonstrated ability to network/partner effectively across functional areas and with varying levels of management
Exhibit influence over project teams/groups without direct authority
Proven ability to design and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment within given timelines
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and presentation skills
Articulate ideas clearly, actively listen, and ensure transparency for understanding and alignment
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, while proactively addressing and resolving conflicts through skilled communication, empathy, and problem-solving strategies
Foster positive working relationships and maintain productive team dynamics in fast-paced, environment
Strong set of analytical skills; high attention to detail and accuracy
Able to connect unrelated concepts, generates original or unique ideas
Operates with an enterprise perspective
Deals comfortably with risk and ambiguity
Preferred
Firm understanding of AbbVie's financial policies (CFMs), US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as PTP policies and processes is a plus
