Compressed Air Field Technician

Jack Tyler Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Compressed Air Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing air compressors and related components. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all different makes and models of air compressors; specifically rotary, screw, and vane type compressors
Able to install compressors, dryers, line filters, breathing air systems, and other ancillary equipment
Performs routine service and preventative maintenance on various makes, models, sizes, and types of air compressors
Maintains acceptable inventory levels on truck and in shop to ensure job responsibilities can be carried out without delay
Advise on the use of air compressors and efficient operation
Provide technical advice and support to customers
Responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment
Attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness
Ability to document work and provide accurate record keeping of all inspections and maintenance activities
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and regulations

Required

2+ years of experience with installing, repairing and maintaining air compressor systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems
Ability to diagnose and repair air compressors
Ability to understand technical diagrams
Proficiency in using hand tools
Familiar with the latest industry technologies and developments
Good communication skills
Problem solving ability
Ability to work independently
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly

Preferred

Refrigeration license (HVAC)
