InternAtlas Oil Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join their corporate tax department on a part-time basis. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the energy sector, supporting the team in ensuring compliance with various tax regulations.

Responsibilities
Tax Compliance: Assist and prepare tax filings specific to the oil and gas industry, such as motor fuel taxes, sales and use taxes and property taxes
Data Management: Gather, analyze, and review counterparty tax documentation (tax licenses & tax certificates)
Audit Support: Assist with gathering documentation and information in response to tax authority notices and audit requests
Special Projects: Participate in process improvement initiatives and various special projects as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (at least sophomore standing or 90 credit hours completed preferred)
Strong academic record, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or 3.25 on a 4.0 scale preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
A strong interest in the oil and gas industry and energy finance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
At least sophomore standing or 90 credit hours completed
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
Familiarity with tax preparation software and accounting principles is a plus
