Clinical Assistant Professor Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM)
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine within the Department of Medical Sciences. The role involves providing clinical service, teaching veterinary students and interns, and engaging in research to advance academic clinical practice.

Responsibilities
Clinical service to the SAIM section of UW Veterinary Care for up to 24 weeks a year; training and supervision of residents and interns; clinical teaching of 4th year veterinary students; supervision of, training of residents in, and performance of endoscopy and other interventional procedures
Didactic and laboratory course teaching in the preclinical curriculum is both asynchronous and synchronous totaling 15-20 hours dependent upon needs of the curriculum and applicant experience
Contribute to and participate in basic or clinical research in the SAIM section, including mentoring of house officers in research
Involvement in committees at the Department, School, and University level, along with involvement nationally at the professional committee level
Participate in continuing education programs for veterinary practitioners in Wisconsin and beyond
Qualification
Required
Board certification or board eligibility in Small Animal Internal Medicine is required by start date
Wisconsin Veterinary License Required
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain licensure to practice veterinary medicine, by start date
Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree, by start date
