Controller
Curv Group is a fast-growing e-commerce company, scaling quickly across various channels. They are seeking a hands-on Controller to build a top-notch accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financials while managing the monthly close and GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely, accurate financial statements
Prepare and communicate a monthly financial package for Executive team
Maintain clean, well-supported balance sheet schedules and ensure P&L accuracy
Own inventory accounting and valuation end-to-end, including roll-forwards, landed cost allocation, reserves, and write-offs
Ensure accurate COGS and partner with Finance Operations and Supply Chain to understand inventory flows
Oversee revenue and accounts receivable accounting and collections
Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations
Lead accounting integration for acquisitions, including opening balances, inventory valuation, and chart of accounts mapping
Own audit readiness and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Maintain and improve internal controls, documentation, and accounting processes
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the team
Manage and develop a lean, offshore accounting team and set clear review standards
Partner cross-functionally with Finance Operations and leadership to ensure accounting reflects how the business operates
Identify accounting risks early and proactively raise and resolve issues
Continually automate and enhance accounting processes for optimal accuracy and efficiency
Qualification
Required
CPA required with 6+ years of experience in accounting, including public accounting (Big 4 or National firm)
Strong experience with inventory accounting (e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing)
Strong experience with ERP systems
Proven ownership of month-end close
Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and still deliver accurate, on-time outputs
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Experience effectively managing teams
Enterprise-level reporting skills (board/investor quality), impeccable attention to detail, and crisp documentation
High ownership, learning mindset, and calm execution under changing priorities
Keen desire for professional growth with a transparent and trustworthy approach
Advanced Excel/Sheets; working knowledge of modern accounting/finance tools
Proven track record of improving/automating processes
Excellent judgment and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel environments
Experience with Netsuite ERP
Familiarity with credit card platforms and expense tools, such as Ramp
Experience working in a distributed or remote team
