Dexian is seeking a Coordinator for Volunteer Resources who will support the development and management of a comprehensive volunteer program. This role focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and managing volunteers while ensuring compliance and supporting program coordination efforts.

Responsibilities

Manage the full volunteer lifecycle from application review through interview, placement, and onboarding
Conduct a minimum of 5 volunteer interviews per week, assessing motivation, availability, skills, communication ability, and commitment
Match volunteers to departmental needs and determine placement, non-placement, or pending placement outcomes
Communicate next steps clearly to applicants and complete reference checks as needed
Oversee daily volunteer operations and scheduling to meet departmental needs
Ensure volunteer compliance with all required training and health requirements, including orientation, HIPAA, medical clearances, TB testing, and annual assessments
Distribute weekly volunteer schedules and respond to day-to-day volunteer needs
Monitor confidentiality and compliance requirements
Partner with Volunteer Services leadership to support departmental programs and events
Assist with planning and execution of volunteer programs, education initiatives, and recognition events
Support the Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, including content creation, materials coordination, and award logistics
Help maintain and update volunteer orientation and training materials
Support short-term volunteer requests by gathering project requirements, schedules, and training needs
Join a small team with one existing coordinator; workload will be shared
Typical volume includes 15–20 volunteer openings on average (5–10 for repeat roles)
Approximately 20 total requisitions managed across the team (not all active at once)

Required

2–4 years of relevant experience in recruiting, HR coordination, onboarding, or volunteer management
Experience recruiting or working directly with volunteers
Strong interviewing, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Workday Recruiting or ATS experience
Background in Program Management or Project Management
Bachelor's degree preferred (High School Diploma or GED required)
