Responsibilities

Lead development of the custom hardware and Android platform, managing technical requirements, timelines and vendor partnerships
Design and implement scalable, reliable systems leveraging Android OS, SDKs and embedded system expertise
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, robust software solutions that enhance platform stability
Mentor team members, foster best practices and drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement
Influence technical strategy across teams, ensuring solutions are simple, scalable and maintainable

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of Android development experience, including OS, SDK and embedded systems, with proven leadership capabilities
Strong coding proficiency in Kotlin/Java and experience contributing to production-grade systems
Demonstrated expertise managing vendor relationships and working across departments on complex projects
Deep understanding of full-stack system interactions and cloud-native architectures
Must be authorized to work in the US, now and in the future, without employer sponsorship

Preferred

Experience working with containerized applications and cloud-native deployment patterns
Experience building custom Android images or system-level customization using AOSP
