Renesas Electronics is a leading provider of semiconductor solutions, and they are seeking a motivated computer science student for a summer internship. The intern will work alongside engineers to develop semiconductor factory automation solutions, gaining hands-on experience in improving manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers to understand current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for semiconductor factory automation implementation

Assist in the design, development, and deployment of semiconductor factory automation and algorithms to automate and optimize production systems

Support the integration of semiconductor factory automation tools into existing manufacturing systems and workflows

Conduct data analysis to assess the performance of semiconductor factory automation and recommend improvements

Document and present findings to the team

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries

Experience with data analysis and machine learning model development

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

A strong interest in semiconductor factory automation applications in industrial or manufacturing environments

US Person due to ITAR requirements

Preferred

Knowledge of automation systems in a manufacturing setting

Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques

Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
