Lead Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities
Work with product managers, technical leadership, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to support the team as we bring advanced data capabilities to RTX
Design, Develop, maintain, and support business systems applications, ensuring they meet the needs of internal stakeholders
Lead a team of software development and quality assurance engineers with various levels of expertise
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing timely and effective solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
Maintain and improve application performance, scalability, and security
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides
Participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the Agile framework
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 8 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 5 years experience
5+ years of experience in full stack development, with a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies
Front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, C# and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular or other JS frameworks)
Experience in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java
Experience with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
A flexible and patient mindset, interested in working on a variety of multi-disciplinary challenges with varying stakeholders, partners, domains, and toolsets
Experience with Git, Github, or similar version control system, Jira, Confluence, and Agile development
Proven experience designing, writing, and executing unit tests to ensure high code quality, reliability, and maintainability
Effective communication and collaboration, especially across development and operations and business stakeholders
Work with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and document functional and technical needs before translating them into software solutions
Prioritize tasks and manage multiple streams of work efficiently
