Administrative Officer I
The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies responsible for safeguarding and supervising adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Administrative Officer I will manage business and personnel functions at the Western Correctional Center for Women, overseeing budgets, accounting, and personnel operations.

Responsibilities
This position will have management and supervisory responsibility for budgets, accounting, personnel, canteen, clothes-house, mail-room and trust fund
This position will assign and monitor the work efforts of subordinate staff and will be responsible for the functions of planning and monitoring budgets, approval of expenditures, purchasing of supplies and equipment, inventories, establishment and monitoring of temporary employees and personal service contracts, fiscal audit functions, canteen, mail-room, and warehouse/clothes operations
This position will oversee the overall personnel operations to include hiring, benefits, timekeeping, Fiori, and staff disciplinary actions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Documented Human Resource and Accounts Receivable/Accounts payable experience within NC State Government
