They are seeking an Instrument Support Engineer who will provide technical support to field engineers and customers, maintain spare parts inventory, and deliver training as necessary.

Responsibilities

Provide technical phone support to customers and field service personnel worldwide for Bruker AXS products
Perform system repairs and maintain repair documentation of customer material and return to stock parts from the field
Provide input and create service bulletins and other technical documentation
Configure computers and peripherals as required
Contribute to the development and delivery of service training classes
Assist in the development and updating of technical maintenance manuals
Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve hardware and software problems in the field. Ensure Corrective/Preventive Action Reports (CPAR) are submitted as necessary
Ability to travel, as necessary to support field operations. Up to 50% travel

Required

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Motivated self-starter
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
High level technical hardware and software skills related to complex instrumentation
Strong competency with complex systems and technology to include electrical/electronics, mechanics, software, and chemistry technology
2- or 4-year degree in electronics, physics, chemistry, related sciences, or equivalent experience
Ability to travel, as necessary to support field operations. Up to 50% travel

Preferred

Military training in technical fields is a plus
