Program Coordinator
Young Women's Freedom Center is dedicated to personal and structural transformation guided by principles of Sisterhood, Self-Determination, Spirituality, and Social Justice. The Program Coordinator will support the implementation of re-entry programming for system-impacted young people while supervising Community Organizers and advancing leadership development initiatives.
Training
Responsibilities
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of re-entry programming
Provide direct program support to participants through 1:1 check-ins, intakes, and referrals
Ensure access to housing, education, employment, childcare, healthcare, and legal resources
Support internships, stipends, and leadership opportunities
Maintain participant engagement and follow-up
Supervision of Community Organizers
Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support
Support outreach planning and implementation
Ensure alignment with YWFC values and safety protocols
Facilitate regular check-ins and professional development
Support accountability for work plans and documentation
Coordinate YWFC’s leadership pipeline
Support individualized leadership plans
Create pathways to peer leadership, organizing, and advocacy
Support transitions into advanced leadership roles
Integrate leadership development across programming
Support outreach to system-impacted youth
Maintain relationships with partner organizations and stakeholders
Participate in coalitions and community initiatives
Represent YWFC in alignment with organizational values
Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
Support special projects as assigned
Model YWFC values
Align all activities with organizational mission and vision
Qualification
Required
Experience in program coordination or related field
Strong understanding of restorative justice frameworks
Ability to work with system-impacted young people
Experience in supervising and coaching staff
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to YWFC's core principles of Sisterhood, Self-Determination, Spirituality, and Social Justice
Preferred
Experience in leadership development programming
Familiarity with community outreach and engagement strategies
Knowledge of resources available for housing, education, employment, childcare, healthcare, and legal support
Experience working with diverse populations
