Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting, payroll, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month/year-end close
Prepare GAAP-compliant statements, budget-to-actual reports, and variance analyses for leadership and the Board
Lead annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning
Manage expense tracking, reporting, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grant requirements
Maintain strong internal controls, oversee annual audits, and implement corrective actions
Train staff, support departments, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
2+ years in nonprofit organizations
2+ years in management
Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting
Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar nonprofit accounting software
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
CPA preferred
Grant compliance experience preferred
RealPage and AvidXchange a plus
