Project Engineer
Gpac is partnering with a confidential pet food manufacturer in Northern Indiana to identify a Project Engineer to support manufacturing process and capital projects within a production facility. The role involves leading manufacturing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing projects from concept through completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and timelines
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Engineering
Oversee equipment selection, design, installation, and commissioning
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and equipment evaluations
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction
Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, environmental, and company standards
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and as-built records
Train plant personnel on new equipment and processes
Support troubleshooting during implementation and post-installation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline
2-5 years of food manufacturing or industrial project experience
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes
Experience with project management tools and technical documentation
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
